Project Update 2022-04-28

RAPID CITY, S.D.- Clean up, landscaping, and miscellaneous work adjacent to the roadway will take place this week west of the Rapid Creek Bridge.  A traffic switch is expected late next week, placing vehicles in the outside lanes to accommodate median and turn lane surface installation.

Work continues on the Rapid Creek Bridge, including barrier and median placement.

Water installation is complete in the south leg of the Deadwood Avenue intersection. Grading and surfacing replacement will begin this week.

Curbing will be placed in the soccer field entrance next week. Asphalt is expected to be placed on a number of project entrances the second week in May.

Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
