Project Update 2022-05-19

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The bike path remains closed under the Rapid Creek Bridge for repairs and will reopen Friday, May 20, 2022. Bike path traffic is detoured in the same manner as previously on the project utilizing Mountain View Road and West Main Street.

Median and turn lane work continues from west of Deadwood Avenue to east of Mountain View Road. Miscellaneous work continues on the Rapid Creek Bridge.

Asphalt is expected to be placed in the south leg of Deadwood Avenue and at other project entrances this week.

Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
