RAPID CITY, S.D. – Pavement markings and sign installation from 12th Street to Sheffer Street are anticipated to be complete this week. Landscaping, soil stabilization, miscellaneous work, and cleanup continues throughout the project.
Temporary lane closures will be in place this week near the Rapid Creek Bridge to accommodate final surface work.
Final street sweeping will take place late this week as well. All contract work is expected to be complete by the end of August.
In early September, modifications to the median barrier on Deadwood Avenue will be made requiring inside lane closures. This work is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Motorists are asked to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, changing work zone locations, reduced speeds through the work zone, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.
